Support Initiative for Liberty and Democracy – SILBA

SILBA Support Initiative for Liberty and Democracy is a Danish NGO (est. 1995) with 530 members. 430 of these are under 30 years old. SILBA works to promote liberty and democracy in our partner countries, primarily in the former Soviet states and in the new EU countries and the new EU neighbours. We focus on cross-organisation and cross-border activities, such as summer camps and seminars on a wide range of topics from capacity building to topics of special interest and we also conducts a large number of Election Observation Missions in our partner countries. In Denmark we aim to increase knowledge and awareness of our partner countries. We do this through conferences, lectures and special events and through meetings and activities in our five local branches.
